The Stewards, having received a report from the Race Director, have considered the following matter and determine the following:

No / Driver 77 - Valtteri Bottas Competitor Cadillac Formula 1 Team Time 13:45 Session Free Practice 3 Fact The driver failed to follow the Race Director's Competition Notes by not staying to the right of the bollard in Turn 5. Infringement Breach of Article 12.2.1.i of the International Sporting Code and non-compliance with Race Director's Competition Notes (item 26.2, document 28). Decision Driver: Warning. Reason The Stewards reviewed video and in-car video evidence. The driver of Car 77 slowed down before Turn 5 to make way for an incoming car. When approaching the corner, he accelerated to make way for another incoming car, left the track while being to the right of the yellow line, but re-joined the track without staying to the right of the bollard in the runoff area. The Stewards acknowledge the efforts of the driver to manage traffic, but determine that it would have been possible to follow the instructions given in the Race Director's Competition Notes. Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Chapter 5 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits.

Decisions of the Stewards are taken independently of the FIA and are based solely on the relevant regulations, guidelines and evidence presented.
