Technical Delegate's Report

The following driver will start the seventeenth Competition of the 2026 Formula One World Championship with a new internal combustion engine (ICE):

Number Car Driver Previously used ICE

63 Mercedes George Russell 4

The internal combustion engine used by George Russell is the fifth (5th) of the four (4) new internal combustion engines allowed for the 2026 Championship season and this is not in compliance with B8.2.2 a) of the 2026 Formula One Sporting Regulations.

The following driver will start the seventeenth Competition of the 2026 Formula One World Championship with a new turbocharger (TC):

The turbocharger used by George Russell is the fifth (5th) of the four (4) new turbochargers allowed for the 2026 Championship season and this is not in compliance with B8.2.2 b) of the 2026 Formula One Sporting Regulations.

The following driver will start the seventeenth Competition of the 2026 Formula One World Championship with a new exhaust set (EXH):
