Time 17:35 2020 BRITISH GRAND PRIX 30 July - 2 August 2020 The Stewards, having received a report from the Race Director, have considered the following matter and determine the following:

No / Driver 31 - Esteban Ocon Competitor Renault DP World F1 Team Time 14:17 Session Qualifying Fact Allegedly impeding car 7 approaching turn 16 at 14:17. Offence Alleged breach of Article 31.5 of the FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations. Decision No Further Action Reason The Stewards (i) heard from the driver of Car 31(OCO) and the driver of Car 7 (RAI) and team representatives and (ii) have reviewed video evidence. Towards the end of Q1 entering the final complex of turns, Raikkonen's car was rapidly closing with Ocon. In the hearing, Raikkonen stated that because of the position of Ocon's car through Turn 17 to Turn 18 his aero was affected negatively and that he was impeded. Ocon stated that he was advised of the position of Raikkonen by his team, and prior to entering Turn 16 looked at the relative position. He felt that there was a significant gap. He then accelerated through Turn 17 to start his lap. Raikkonen felt that by failing to accelerate early enough Ocon impeded him. The Stewards reviewed the video and while they accept that Raikkonen's aero may have been affected in his lap, the cars were never close enough, especially compared to previous cases, to constitute "Unnecessary Impeding" which is the text of the regulation. Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Article 10.1.1 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits.
