The Stewards, having received a report from the Technical Delegate (document 30), have considered the following matter and determine the following:

No / Driver 18 - Lance Stroll Competitor Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team Time 12:38 Session Free Practice 3 Fact The following Power Unit elements have been used: 5th Engine (ICE) 5th Turbocharger (TC) 6th Energy Store (ES) 5th MGU-K 7th Power Unit Ancillary Component (PU-ANC) Infringement Breaches of Articles B8.2.2 (read with B8.2.3) of the FIA F1 Regulations. Decision Drop of 40 grid positions for the next Race in which the driver participates. Reason The penalty is imposed in accordance with Article B8.2.8 of the FIA F1 Regulations. In this case, the use of the 6th ES and the 5th MGU-K additional elements each carries a 5 grid place penalty by virtue of Article B8.2.8b of the FIA F1 Regulations and the use of the 5th ICE, the 5th TC and 7th PU-ANC additional elements each carries a 10 grid place penalty by virtue of Article B8.2.8a of the FIA F1 Regulations. Therefore there is an accumulation of 40 places. Subject to Car 18 being classified in the results of Qualifying, Car 18 will be allocated a grid position in the Race in accordance with Article B2.5.4b.iv of the FIA F1 Regulations Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Chapter 5 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits.

Decisions of the Stewards are taken independently of the FIA and are based solely on the relevant regulations, guidelines and evidence presented.
