Session Race Fact Pit lane speeding – 89.5 km/h

Infringement Breach of Article B1.6.3a of the FIA F1 Regulations. Decision Drive through penalty. Reason Car 77 exceeded the pit lane speed limit which is set at 80 km/h for this event by 9.5 km/h. In keeping with the Penalty Guidelines, for exceeding the speed limit in the pit lane by 6-15 Km/h the prescribed penalty is a drive through, which we impose. Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Chapter 5 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits.

Decisions of the Stewards are taken independently of the FIA and are based solely on the relevant regulations, guidelines and evidence presented.
