30 October - 01 November

From The Stewards

To The Team Manager,

Visa Cash App Racing Bulls F1 Team Document 65 Date 01 November 2026 Time 12:20

The Stewards, having received a report from the Technical Delegate (document 64), have considered the following matter and determine the following:

No / Driver 30 - Liam Lawson Competitor Visa Cash App Racing Bulls F1 Team Time 10:56 Session Qualifying Fact The setup of the suspension has been changed while under parc fermé. The team continued to work on the car beyond the covers-on time. The following Power Unit elements have been used: 5th Engine (ICE) 5th Turbocharger (TC) 5th Exhaust Set (EXH) 7th Power Unit Ancillary Component (PU-ANC) All Power Unit elements were replaced without the approval of the FIA Technical Delegate during parc fermé.

Infringement Breaches of Articles B3.4.3, B3.5.3 and B3.5.4 of the FIA F1 Regulations. Decision Required to start the Race from the pit lane. Reason Visa Cash App Racing Bulls F1 Team changed the setup of the suspension of Car 30 under parc fermé before the start of the Race, without the approval of the Technical Delegate. This is not accordance with Article B3.5.4 of the FIA F1 Regulations. In addition, the change of setup is not in accordance with Article B3.5.3 of the FIA F1 Regulations. Car 30 is therefore required to start the Race from pit lane as per Article B3.5.3a of the FIA F1 Regulations. Visa Cash App Racing Bulls F1 Team continued to work on the car beyond the covers-on time which is a breach of Article B3.4.3 of the FIA F1 Regulations. Car 30 is therefore required to start the Race from pit lane as per Article B3.5.3a of the FIA F1 Regulations for this infringement too. The replacement of the Power Unit elements listed above would additionally result in a cumulative grid position penalty of 40 places. Furthermore, Car 30 had previously received a one grid position penalty at this Event (Document 34). The Stewards determine that these grid position penalties are absorbed by the requirement for Car 30 to start the Race from the pit lane and will therefore be considered served.

The Stewards Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Chapter 5 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits.

Decisions of the Stewards are taken independently of the FIA and are based solely on the relevant regulations, guidelines and evidence presented.
