Time 19:33 The Stewards, having received a report from the Race Director, summoned (document 77) and heard from the driver and team representative, have considered the following matter and determine
the following:

Session Race Fact The driver passed through a double yellow flag sector and did not make the required
reduction in speed.
Infringement Breach of Article B1.8.4b of the FIA F1 Regulations. Decision Stop and go penalty imposed after the Race.
2 penalty points (total of 2 for the 12 month period). Reason The Stewards heard from the driver of Car 10 (Pierre Gasly), team representative and reviewed positioning/marshalling system data, video, timing, telemetry and in-car video evidence. The driver and team representative claimed that the driver had made a significant reduction in speed in the double yellow flag sector however a detailed examination of the telemetry and that of other cars passing through that sector, led the Stewards to conclude that the small reduction noted was not sufficient to satisfy the requirements of the regulations. Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Chapter 5 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits.
Decisions of the Stewards are taken independently of the FIA and are based solely on the relevant regulations, guidelines and evidence presented.
