From The Stewards
To The Team Manager, BWT Alpine F1 Team Document 76 Date 01 November 2026
Time 17:11 The Stewards, having received a report from the Race Director, have considered the following matter and determine the following:
No / Driver 10 - Pierre Gasly Competitor BWT Alpine F1 Team
Time 16:12
Session Race Fact The driver left the track at turn 1 and rejoined after turn 3, gave a position back to car 43, then at the end of the straight after turn 3, he was passed by car 30 at turn 4. Minor contact occurred during that passing manoeuvre. Infringement Alleged breach of Article B1.8.6 of the FIA F1 Regulations.
Decision No further action. Reason The Stewards reviewed positioning/marshalling system data, video and in-car video evidence. Although the additional guidelines issued by the Stewards on October 31 advised that a car leaving the track at turn 1 after a Restart should yield the position by Turn 4, the fact that the correct positions were achieved by turn 5 confirms to the Stewards that no further action is required. In leaving the track Car 10 did not gain a position, in fact the car ultimately lost a position to car 30. The minor contact between the cars does not require penalization to either driver. Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Chapter 5 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits.
Decisions of the Stewards are taken independently of the FIA and are based solely on the relevant regulations, guidelines and evidence presented.
