Decision No further action.
Reasons The Stewards thoroughly reviewed Marshalling/Positioning data, timing data, on- board cameras and CCTV cameras.
The drivers mentioned above exceeded the maximum time of 1:11:00 between the Safety Car lines, as specified in the Race Director’s Note referred to in the Race Director’s Event Notes, item 1, document 6.
The Stewards note that the track conditions were damp, and grip was inconsistent at the time, requiring an increased level of caution. Taking these circumstances into account and noting that no driver was unnecessarily impeded nor any unsafe situation created, the Stewards determine that no further action is warranted in this instance.
Note Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Chapter 4 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits.
Decisions of the Stewards are taken independently of the FIA and are based solely on the relevant regulations, guidelines and evidence presented.
