Session Race Fact Car 14 crossed back into the Pit Exit Road when exiting the pits during the

reconnaissance laps

Infringement Breach of Article 12.2.1 i) of the FIA International Sporting Code and non-compliance with Race Director's Event Notes (item 13.5, document 4) Decision Driver: Warning.

Reason The Stewards reviewed video and in-car video evidence. The driver of Car 14 exited the pits during the reconnaissance laps without doing a practice start. He crossed the pit exit line when passing the drivers queueing for practice starts as prescribed in the Race Director's Events Notes, but then crossed back into the Pit Exit Road instead of moving to the regular racing line. This is in breach of item 13.5 of the Race Director's Event Notes. As no dangerous situation was caused in any way and no other cars were affected by the infringement the Stewards determine that a Warning to the driver is sufficient in this case. Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Chapter 4 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits.

Decisions of the Stewards are taken independently of the FIA and are based solely on the relevant regulations, guidelines and evidence presented.
