The Stewards, having received a report from the Race Director, summoned (documents 41 & 42) and heard from the drivers and team representatives, have considered the following matter and determine the following:

No / Driver 6 - Isack Hadjar Competitor Visa Cash App Racing Bulls F1 Team Time 15:41

Fact Car 6 collided with Car 12 in Turn 9. Infringement Alleged breach of Appendix L, Chapter IV, Article 2 d) of the FIA International Sporting Code. Decision No further action. Reason The Stewards heard from the driver of Car 6 (Isack Hadjar), the driver of Car 12 (Kimi Antonelli), team representatives and reviewed positioning/marshalling system data, video and in-car video evidence. Car 6 ran into the back of Car 12 at Turn 9 in heavy rain and crashed into the barriers. Both drivers said that the visibility was so poor in the rain that they simply could not see anything in front of them. The driver of Car 12 stated that he slowed down earlier than normal due to the heavy rain. This caught Car 6 by surprise. A collision occurred but that was unavoidable as both viewed themselves as passengers in the rain. In these circumstances, they considered that no driver could be blamed for the collision. We agreed and therefore took no further action against the driver of Car 6. Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Chapter 4 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits.

The Stewards Decisions of the Stewards are taken independently of the FIA and are based solely on the relevant regulations, guidelines and evidence presented.
