Time 16:46 The Stewards, having received a report from the Race Director, have considered the following matter and determine the following:

Session Race Fact Car 43 forcing Car 81 off of the track between Turns 3 and 4. Infringement Breach of Appendix L, Chapter IV, Article 2 b) of the International Sporting Code. Decision 5 second time penalty.

1 penalty point (total of 3 for the 12 month period). Reason The Stewards reviewed video evidence. Car 43 was fighting for position with Car 22  in Turn 3 when Car 81 was closing in after doing a pit stop. The team informed the driver of Car 43 about blue flags for Car 81. However, after exiting Turn 3, Car 43 forced Car 81 off track on the inside. The Stewards acknowledge that it was very hard for the driver of Car 43 to see Car 81 due to the position of Car 22 in Turn 3 and take this into account in mitigation. Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Chapter 4 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits.

Decisions of the Stewards are taken independently of the FIA and are based solely on the relevant regulations, guidelines and evidence presented.
