The Stewards, having received a report from the Race Director, summoned (document 44) and heard from the driver and team representative, have considered the following matter and determine the following:

No / Driver 27 - Nico Hulkenberg Competitor MoneyGram Haas F1 Team Time 15:00 Session Qualifying Fact Pit lane incident. Infringement Breach of Article 34.8 of the FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations and Appendix L, Chapter IV, Article 5 d) of the International Sporting Code. Decision Reprimand (Driving) This is the driver's 1st reprimand of the season. Reason The Stewards heard from the driver of Car 27 (Nico Hulkenberg), team representative and reviewed video, team radio and in-car video evidence and determined that Car 27 overtook two cars in the fast lane, in breach of Article 34.8 of the FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations and Appendix L, Chapter IV, Article 5 d) of the International Sporting Code. The driver explained that he checked if he was permitted to do so and the team (incorrectly) confirmed that he could. We confirmed this by listening to the team radio. Notwithstanding the team's incorrect instructions, the driver ought to have known the regulations and should not have overtaken in the pit lane. We therefore impose a reprimand. Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Chapter 4 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits.

The Stewards Decisions of the Stewards are taken independently of the FIA and are based solely on the relevant regulations, guidelines and evidence presented.
