Session Qualifying Fact The team failed to electronically return tyres before the start of the Qualifying
session.
Infringement Breach of Article 30.5 g) of the FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations.
Decision The competitor (MoneyGram Haas F1 Team) is fined €5,000. Reason The Stewards heard from the team representative and determined that the team had not electronically returned one set of intermediate tyres for Car 27 (Nico Hulkenberg), before the start of the qualifying session, although they had physically returned the tyres to the tyre supplier. This is a technical breach of Article 30.5 (g) of the Sporting Regulations. Consistently with previous precedents for such an infringement, we fined the team €5,000. Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Chapter 4 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits. Decisions of the Stewards are taken independently of the FIA and are based solely on the relevant regulations, guidelines and evidence presented.
