Session Race Fact Car 23 left the track at T12 and re-joined but retained its position. Offence Breach of Article 33.3 of the FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations and the Race
Directors' Instructions - Article 12.2.1 i) of the International Sporting Code. Decision 5 second time penalty imposed after the race. (5 seconds added to elapsed race time). 1 penalty point (total of 7 for the 12-month period). Reason The Stewards reviewed the video evidence and concluded that consistent with other decisions this year based on the instructions of the Race Director, this was a breach of the regulations. Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Chapter 4 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits.
