Technical Delegate's Report

The following drivers will start the sixteenth Event of the 2021 Formula One World Championship with a new internal combustion engine (ICE):

44 Mercedes Lewis Hamilton 3 55 Ferrari Carlos Sainz 3

The internal combustion engine used by Lewis Hamilton is the fourth of the three new internal combustion engines allowed for the 2021 Championship season and this is not in conformity with Article 23.2a of the 2021 Formula One Sporting Regulations.

The internal combustion engine used by Carlos Sainz is the fourth of the three new internal combustion engines allowed for the 2021 Championship season and this is not in conformity with Article 23.2a of the 2021 Formula One Sporting Regulations.

The following driver will start the sixteenth Event of the 2021 Formula One World Championship with a new turbocharger (TC):

The turbocharger used by Carlos Sainz is the fourth of the three new turbochargers allowed for the 2021 Championship season and this is not in conformity with Article 23.2a of the 2021 Formula One Sporting Regulations.
