Technical Delegate's Report
The following driver will use a new internal combustion engine (ICE) for the remainder of the Event:
NumberCar Driver Previously used ICE
10 AlphaTauri Honda Pierre Gasly 1
The internal combustion engine used by Pierre Gasly is one of the two new internal combustion engines allowed for the 2020 Championship season and this is in conformity with Article 23.3a of the 2020 Formula One Sporting Regulations.
The following driver will use a new turbocharger (TC) for the remainder of the Event:
NumberCar Driver Previously used TC
10 AlphaTauri Honda Pierre Gasly 1
The turbocharger used Pierre Gasly is one of the two new turbochargers allowed for the 2020 Championship season and this is in conformity with Article 23.3a of the 2020 Formula One Sporting Regulations.
The following driver will use a new motor generator unit-heat (MGU-H) for the remainder of the Event:
NumberCar Driver Previously used MGUH
10 AlphaTauri Honda Pierre Gasly 1
The motor generator unit-heat used by Pierre Gasly is one of the two new motor generator unitsheat allowed for the 2020 Championship season and this is in conformity with Article 23.3a of the 2020 Formula One Sporting Regulations.
The following driver will use a new motor generator unit-kinetic (MGU-K) for the remainder of the Event:
NumberCar Driver Previously used MGUK
10 AlphaTauri Honda Pierre Gasly 1
The motor generator unit-kinetic used by Pierre Gasly is one of the two new motor generator unitskinetic allowed for the 2020 Championship season and this is in conformity with Article 23.3a of the 2020 Formula One Sporting Regulations.
All the above mentioned power unit elements for car number 10 have been replaced with the approval of the FIA technical delegate following a written request from the team concerned, this being in accordance with Article 34.2 of the 2020 Formula One Sporting Regulations.
