Session Practice 1 Fact The temperature of the fuel intended for immediate use was more than eleven degrees centigrade below the ambient temperature recorded by the FIA appointed weather service provider one hour before the first practice session.

Offence Breach of Article 6.5.2 of the FIA Formula One Technical Regulations. Decision The competitor (Mercedes AMG Petronas Motorsport) is fined €5,000. Reason Per Article 6.5.2 of the 2019 Formula One Technical Regulations, no fuel intended for immediate use in a car may be more than ten degrees centigrade below the ambient temperature. In this case the ambient temperature was published to be 32 degrees centigrade and the temperature of the fuel was at least 11 degrees below. The team representative acknowledged that the temperature was below that required under the Technical Regulations due to an error in setting the temperature. Given that this infringement occurred during Practice 1, we impose the fine set out above. Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Article 9.1.1 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits.
