Session Race Fact Car 18 left the track at turn 10 gaining an advantage.
Offence Breach of Article 27.3 of the FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations. Decision 5 second time penalty 1 penalty point imposed (total of 7 in the 12 month period). Reason The Stewards reviewed on-board and external video and timing data evidence and determined that car 18 left the track without a justifiable reason and gained an advantage. He subsequently took no actions to mitigate this. Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Article 9.1.1 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits.
