Session Race Fact Car 5 left the track and rejoined in an unsafe manner. When rejoining Car 5 collided
with Car 18.
Offence Breach of Article 27.3 of the FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations and Article 2 d) of Appendix L Chapter IV of the FIA International Sporting Code. Decision 10 second stop and go penalty. (3 points awarded, 9 points in total for the 12 month period) Reason The stewards reviewed video evidence and determined that Car 5, left the track at turn 9 and rejoined the track in an unsafe manner. In doing so it collided with Car 18. The Stewards considered this to be a dangerous incident. Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Article 9.1.1 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits.
