Date 22 June 2019 Time 17:44 2019 FRENCH GRAND PRIX 20 - 23 June 2019 The Stewards The Stewards, having received a report from the Race Director, summoned (documents 28 and 29) and heard from the drivers and team representatives, have considered the following matter and determine the following:

No / Driver 7 - Kimi Raikkonen Competitor Alfa Romeo Racing

Session Qualifying Fact Car 7 alleged to have unnecessarily impeded car 8 between turns 11 and 12. Offence Alleged breach of Article 31.5 of the FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations. Decision No Further Action.

Reason The Stewards reviewed video evidence and heard from the driver of car 7 Kimi Raikkonen), the driver of car 8 (Romain Grosjean) and the team representatives. The driver of car 8, Grosjean, stated to the Stewards that he saw the smoke and dust from car 7 when Raikkonen was off track and at that time he backed off, expecting a yellow flag. Raikkonen continued and he noted to the Stewards that he attempted to rejoin the track gradually, and more or less parallel to the track. Both drivers agreed that at this moment he was unlikely to have been able to see Grosjean and would have been well away from Grosjean, had Grosjean continued at full speed. While all parties agreed that the incident lost Grosjean his lap, they also agreed that the way in which Raikkonen re-joined the track did not "Unnecessarily Impede" and therefore the Stewards take no further action. Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Article 9.1.1 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits.
