Session Race Fact Incident between car 3 and car 20 in turn 4. Offence Breach of Appendix L, Chapter IV Article 2 of the FIA International Sporting Code.
Decision 5 second time penalty 2 penalty points imposed (total of 7 in the 12 month period) Reason The Stewards reviewed video evidence from multiple angles including on-board cameras, broadcast cameras and CCTV. Approaching Turn 4 Car 3 moved to the inside of Car 20 to attempt a pass. At the apex of the corner, Car 3 had a slight lock up of the left front which caused him to understeer and a collision ensued at the exit of the corner. The Stewards determined that Car 3 was predominantly at fault. Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Article 9.1.1 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits.
