Technical Delegate's Report
After the third free practice session the gearbox of car number 28, driver Brendon Hartley, was replaced for a new one.
This gearbox change was before the six consecutive Events expired. Therefore this is not in compliance with Article 23.5a of the 2018 Formula One Sporting Regulations and I am referring this matter to the stewards for their consideration.
The team informed the technical delegate about the gearbox change on 12 May 2018, at 13:52 hours.
After the qualifying session the internal combustion engine (ICE) of car number 28, driver Brendon Hartley, was replaced for a new one which is one of the three new internal combustion engines allowed for the 2018 Championship season (previously used 1) and this is in conformity with Article 23.3a of the 2018 Formula One Sporting Regulations.
The internal combustion engine has been replaced with the approval of the FIA technical delegate following a written request from the team concerned, this being in accordance with Article 34.2 of the 2018 Formula One Sporting Regulations.
After the qualifying session the turbocharger (TC) of car number 28, driver Brendon Hartley, was replaced for a new one which is one of the three new turbochargers allowed for the 2018 Championship season (previously used 2) and this is in conformity with Article 23.3a of the 2018 Formula One Sporting Regulations.
The turbocharger has been replaced with the approval of the FIA technical delegate following a written request from the team concerned, this being in accordance with Article 34.2 of the 2018 Formula One Sporting Regulations.
After the qualifying session the motor generator unit-heat (MGU-H) of car number 28, driver Brendon Hartley, was replaced for a new one which is one of the three new motor generator units-
heat allowed for the 2018 Championship season (previously used 2) and this is in conformity with Article 23.3a of the 2018 Formula One Sporting Regulations.
The motor generator unit-heat has been replaced with the approval of the FIA technical delegate following a written request from the team concerned, this being in accordance with Article 34.2 of the 2018 Formula One Sporting Regulations.
After the qualifying session the motor generator unit-kinetic (MGU-K) of car number 28, driver Brendon Hartley, was replaced for a new one which is one of the two new motor generator unitskinetic allowed for the 2018 Championship season (previously used 1) and this is in conformity with Article 23.3a of the 2018 Formula One Sporting Regulations.
