The Stewards, having received a report from the Race Director, have considered the following matter and determine the following:

## Session Race

Fact Failure to serve a penalty during a pit stop. Infringement Breach of Article B1.9.6b.iii of the FIA F1 Regulations.

Decision Drive through penalty.

Reason The Stewards reviewed positioning/marshalling system data, video, timing, telemetry, team radio and in-car video evidence. The driver of car 63 entered the pit lane to perform a pit stop, but the team did not carry out the required penalty procedure, meaning the penalty was effectively not served. A drive through penalty is imposed because there was no attempt to serve the original time penalty. This is different to the situation where, for example, a person accidentally touches the car during the time penalty period but no actual work is carried out on the car and the penalty time expires before work commences. Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Chapter 5 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits.

Decisions of the Stewards are taken independently of the FIA and are based solely on the relevant regulations, guidelines and evidence presented.
