The Stewards, having received a report from the Technical Delegate (document 36), have considered the following matter and determine the following:

No / Driver 14 - Fernando Alonso Competitor Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team Time 12:29 Session Free Practice 3 Fact The following Power Unit elements have been used: 5th Energy Store (ES) 5th Control Electronics Unit (PU-CE) 7th Power Unit Ancillary Component (PU-ANC) Infringement Breach of Article B8.2.2 (read with B8.2.3) of the FIA F1 Regulations. Decision Drop of 20 grid positions for the next Race in which the driver participates. (Subject to Car 14 being classified in the results of qualifying, Car 14 will be allocated a grid position in the race in accordance with Article B2.5.4b.iv of the FIA F1 Regulations) Reason The penalty is imposed in accordance with Article B8.2.8 of the FIA F1 Regulations. The use of Energy Store and Control Electronics additional elements in this case carries a 5 grid place penalty by virtue of Article B8.2.8.b FIA F1 Regulations, the use of the 7th Ancillary Component carries a 10 grid place penalty by virtue of Article B8.2.8.a FIA F1 Regulations. Therefore there is an accumulation of 20 places. Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Chapter 5 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits.

Decisions of the Stewards are taken independently of the FIA and are based solely on the relevant regulations, guidelines and evidence presented.
