Session Reconnaissance Laps Fact Driving unnecessarily slowly Offence Failure to follow the Race Director's instruction (point 4.1 Race Director's event notes) and alleged breach of Article 12.2.1 i) of the FIA International Sporting Code.

Decision Warning Reason The Stewards heard from the driver of Car 10 (Pierre Gasly) and team representative. The Stewards took into account that there were people on the grid just after SC Line 1, however the driver is responsible for driving the required speed during the entire lap. The Race Director's Note to Teams (document 20) specified a maximum time of 1:12.0 between the Safety Car lines and car 10 recorded a time of 1:14.185. Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Chapter 4 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits.
