Session Race Fact Overtaking during a safety car period. Offence Breach of Article 39.8 of the FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations.

Decision 5 second time penalty 2 Penalty Points (5 points in a 12 month period) Reason The Stewards reviewed video evidence, positioning and timing data. While the safety car was deployed, GIO went to the pits passing ALO before reaching the first safety car line. Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Article 10.1.1 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time
