The Stewards, having received a report from the Technical Delegate (document 33) and heard from the team representative, have considered the following matter and determine the following:

Fact Conformity of the rear brake ducts of car 18 and car 11

Offence Breach of Appendix 6 of the 2020 FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations

Decision No penalty imposed on this occasion (refer below).

Reason The Stewards ordered the Technical Delegate to inspect the Brake Ducts of the BWT Racing Point F1 Team Car \# 18 and Car \#11. His report concluded that the Brake Ducts on the cars are probably of the same design as the Brake Ducts used at the previous seven Grand Prix. The team representative from Racing Point confirmed in writing that the Brake Ducts are of the same design as those used at the previous seven Grand Prix. The facts in this case are therefore identical to the situation in the previous seven Grand Prix.

On Wednesday 5 August, 2020 a Special Panel of Stewards was formed by the authorities that appointed the Stewards to the previous three Grand Prix to hear together the protests lodged by Renault DP World F1 Team against the cars of BWT Racing Point F1 Team. The Stewards have taken notice of the decision in Document 4 (including the note in Document 5) of the Special Panel, and the Decisions contained in Document 41 of the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix, Document 42 of the Grand Prix of Spain and Document 40 of the Belgium Grand Prix.

The Stewards of the 2020 Tuscan Grand Prix note the belief of the Stewards at the preceding events that it is important for the orderly conduct of the sport that the interpretation of the regulations by the stewards be reasonably consistent. The Stewards of the 2020 Tuscan Grand Prix in general support that view, and also the view that where possible this same consistency should apply to penalties.

Further, we note that this matter was the subject of a number of appeals before the FIA International Court of Appeal, which would have heard the matter \`'de novo".

However, we have now been advised that these appeals have been withdrawn and therefore all Decisions of the Stewards which were the subject of those appeals, now stand, as do the penalties associated with them.

The Stewards of the 2020 Tuscan Grand Prix join the following decisions of the Special Panel of Stewards from Document 4 of August 7, 2020; \#1 & \#2 in relation to the Styrian Grand Prix, \#1 in relation to the Hungarian Grand Prix and \#1 in relation to the British Grand Prix and incorporate herein by reference, their findings of fact and reasoning.

The decision contained herein should be read as entirely consistent with and drawing the same conclusions as the decisions referred to in the above paragraph.

The Stewards therefore find BTW Racing Point F1 Team in Breach of Appendix 6 of the 2020 FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations.

In relation to penalty, notwithstanding our comments above concerning consistency, we believe that it would be of no consequence or value to impose a penalty in relation to the breach at this event, considering the original Decisions of the Stewards (which were previously the subject of appeals which have been withdrawn), are now Final.

Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Article 10.1.1 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits.
