Session Race Fact Incident between car 27 and car 55 in turn 5. Offence Alleged breach of Appendix L, Chapter IV Article 2 of the FIA International Sporting

Code, read with Article 38.1 of the FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations. Decision No further action. Reason The stewards reviewed video evidence and determined that at turn 5 on the first lap, Sainz was taking a wide, traditional racing line; Hulkenburg took an inside line to pass. Sainz would not have reasonably seen the car on his inside and moved aggressively towards the apex of turn 5. As a result of both cars' actions, they collided and the Stewards determined that this was a first lap racing incident and take No Further Action. Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Article 9.1.1 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits.
