Session Qualifying Fact 6th Internal Combustion Engine (ICE), 5th Turbocharger (TC), 5th Motor Generator Unit – Heat (MGU-H), 5th Motor Generator Unit - Kinetic (MGU-K), 5th Energy Store (ES) and 4th Control Electronics (CE) have been used.

Offence Breach of Article 23.3 a) of the FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations. Decision Required to start the race from the rear of the starting grid. Reason The penalty is imposed in accordance to with Article 23.3 b) of the FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations. This Penalty under Article 23.3 b), does not change the fact that the competitor will be placed on the grid in accordance with Article 35.1 of the FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations as per document 22, failure to set a time in qualifying. Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Article 9.1.1 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits.
