Time 19:32 The Stewards  received a report from the FIA Media Delegate and summoned the driver and team representative (document 82). The driver failed to attend the hearing and the team representative gave evidence via telephone.

Session Race Fact The driver did not attend the post race media commitments. Infringement Breach of Article B10.1.4e of the FIA F1 Regulations.

Decision The competitor (Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team) is fined €5,000. Reason The Stewards heard from the team representative that the driver had left the circuit without attending the post race media commitments. Noting that the Stewards can proceed to make a determination in the case of a non attendance at a hearing, a penalty of €5,000 is imposed on the competitor.

Competitors are reminded that they have the right to appeal certain decisions of the Stewards, in accordance with Article 15 of the FIA International Sporting Code and Chapter 5 of the FIA Judicial and Disciplinary Rules, within the applicable time limits.

Decisions of the Stewards are taken independently of the FIA and are based solely on the relevant regulations, guidelines and evidence presented.
